FAQ

Answers pulled together from across this help center — each links back to the full article if you want more detail.

Nothing to do here — just answers. This page doesn’t gate on any role; the questions below span players, coaches, and admins.

Does “Sign in with Google” create an account for me? No. It only signs you in if your Google account’s email already matches an existing League Sage account, or you’ve linked it yourself from your profile. It won’t silently create a new account, and if the server you’re on hasn’t set up Google sign-in at all, the button just bounces you back to use your password. See Signing in.

My registration link stopped working — what happened? Registration links are single-use and expire after about a week. Go back to the registration page and start again, or ask your league admin for a fresh one. See Create your account.

Does ID verification block me from registering or playing? No — verification is entirely about a nag and an admin review queue. You can register, play, and pay while still showing as unverified; it’s never a hard gate. See Create your account and ID verification.

I play for more than one team — how do I switch between them? Use the team switcher near your team name at the top of the page. It remembers your choice per device, so you won’t have to reselect it every visit. See Your dashboard.

What’s the difference between being added as a sub and joining the sub pool? A coach who’s already shared a roster with you can add you directly, no opt-in needed. The sub pool is different — it’s a per-sport opt-in on your profile that makes you discoverable to any coach in your league, even ones you’ve never played for. See Playing as a sub and Find subs.

Can I still change my RSVP after a game starts? No — RSVP buttons lock to a read-only chip once the game starts. Right up until then you can change your answer as many times as you like. See RSVP to games.

How does a forfeit affect standings? It counts as a normal win or loss, same as a played game, but contributes nothing to run/goal differential — you’ll see a “Forfeit” badge instead of a fabricated score. See Scores, finalization & standings.

A game I reported a score for is stuck with no response from the other team — what happens? After about three days with no response, the system honors your reported score, confirms the game automatically, and notifies the other team — who can still contest it if it’s wrong. See Scores, finalization & standings.

Why isn’t my calendar showing a game I just cancelled? Subscribed calendars refresh on their own schedule, not instantly — Google can take up to a day, Apple follows your device’s own setting. A recently cancelled game does show up marked “CANCELLED” once it catches up, rather than disappearing outright. See Sync games to your calendar.

Does my league’s waiver apply to every season, or just one? One waiver applies across an entire organization — every season, league, and sport it runs — so there’s no separate waiver text per season. It only applies to people who register themselves, not someone a captain adds directly to a roster. See Waivers.

How long do shared stats or schedule links stay active? It depends which kind. A shared stats snapshot link expires automatically after about 90 days, and each organization can have at most 20 active at once — the oldest is dropped once you’re at the cap. A shared schedule link doesn’t expire on its own — it stays live until an admin revokes it or generates a new one, which replaces the old link. See Print & share.

Is the registration fee I see actually charged through the app? It depends on your league. Some collect payment online as part of registration; others just show the fee for your reference and collect it separately. If your league does take payment in-app, the amount is always computed from the season’s real settings — never from anything shown on a link that could be tampered with. See Register a team for a season and Online payments & refunds.

I turned on push notifications on my laptop — why don’t I get them on my phone? Push notifications are set up per device, not per account. Signing in somewhere new means turning them on there too. See Profile & account settings.

Does being an official give someone admin access? No — officiating is a neutral role scoped to specific assigned games. An official can read an assigned game’s rosters and scoreboard and enter or override its final score, but can’t touch teams, rosters, or seasons. See Becoming an official.

My organization hasn’t decided divisions yet — where did my team go after registering? Some organizations register everyone into a temporary holding pool first, then sort teams into real leagues after registration closes and before a schedule is built. If your season shows everything sitting in a single “Unassigned” pool, this is why. See The season lifecycle.
